Welcome to our Website!

School History Workshops offer award winning workshops at an affordable price. We have over 30 years experience between us offering workshops and tours to learning groups of all ages, and we are sure we will have something to interest you.

Workshops cover key National Curriculum subjects and historical periods, and most include object handling. Workshops can also be adapted to suit your individual needs. Look around our website and if you have any comments or questions, please contact us.

Object Handling

A major component of our workshops

is the opportunity to handle genuine

Historical Artefacts.

Genuine Roman Artefacts being handed around the Class.

 Participation

All students get the opportunity to be directly involved in the subject.

Making Musket Cartridges for the Grand Finale of  ' Take the King's Shilling ! ' .

Pupil Engagement

An important part of our workshops is the interaction between us and your  students, and pupil engagement is a major part of the experience. Here, the children are getting to grips with an original World War II typewriter - a totally different experience to the computer keyboards they are used to!

Testimonies

A message from Normanhurst School:

"Steve and Vicky were fantastic at our Remembrance Themed workshop. We had a ks1 workshop led by Vicky, where the children learnt about 'How Children Helped  Win the War' and ks2 workshop led by Steve who had a 'Code Breakers of WWII" workshop linked to the secret messages sent during the war. Steve and Vicky are brilliant with communication through email and very professional and efficient. On the day, Steve and Vicky were early to set up, fully resourced and great to work with. As well as being engaging and informative, they had excellent subject knowledge and could answer even the most obscure questions! The whole school, children and adults, thoroughly enjoyed the day. Would recommend them to everyone!

A message from Whitfield and Aspen School:

"A fantastic and engaging team! My year ones loved the interactive medieval workshop "Rich and Poor in Days of Yore" and won't stop talking about getting to hold and feel real chain mail, arrows and a proper sword. Excellent resources and appropriate for all ages, I will definitely book again!"

A Message from Deal Parochial CofE Primary School

We had two Roman workshops today, "The Life of Publius Critonius Pollio" and "The Art of Roman Cookery". Both the children and teachers thought it was a fantastic experience. The children were able to handle genuine artefacts and were enthralled with the narrative attached to them. An excellent day!

A message from Ecclesfield Primary School:

"The time traveller took us on a fantastic journey to Ancient Rome. The children loved learning about life as a Roman child and handling the artefacts. Thank you for a great day!"

From a Teacher at Chafyn Grove School :

"Thank you so much to Steve and Vicky for coming and doing those super workshops, the children all thoroughly enjoyed them and learned loads from you. The WW1 sessions seemed to particularly capture the imagination of our younger pupils.

The photos arrived yesterday and are brilliant – thank you! They are up on our display board. I will definitely consider using you again."
